Profile

Hillary is currently a counselling psychologist-in-training and is pursuing her Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology with the National Institute of Education, Singapore. Hillary believes in empowering individuals by providing a compassionate space, where they can safely explore their thoughts, emotions, and insecurities. She embraces a client-centered approach, prioritising the comfort and unique interests of each individual. Hillary is committed to creating a non-judgmental environment, where individuals can embark on a journey of self-discovery and healing.

 

Hillary has had the privilege of assisting both youths and adults facing a spectrum of challenges, including anxiety, depression, self-doubt, gender, identity, and relationship difficulties. She has worked with individuals from diverse backgrounds, including national servicemen, university students and working professionals. Prior to pursuing her Masters degree, Hillary served as a psychologist at MINDS, where she provided emotional support to parents and caregivers of developmentally disabled individuals. Previously, she also volunteered at Pathlight, to support children with autism. Through her professional experience coupled with the growth from her personal challenges, she strongly believes that humans have an innate ability for positive change, when guided with patience and understanding.

 

Hillary is fluent in both English and Mandarin. As a strong advocate for self-care, she spends her free time in activities that nourish her soul, such as reading, dancing, and immersing herself in the serenity of nature.
