Profile
Pei Tze is currently a counsellor-in-training, and she is pursuing her Master of Arts in Counselling with TCA College Singapore.
Prior to making a career transition to the counselling profession, Pei Tze worked in a variety of roles, including Information Technology (IT) project management and consultation in the public service and pastoral care of international students in a Singapore boarding school. These roles have given her the opportunities to realise her passion in working directly with people, setting her on the path of her career change. While pursuing her Master of Arts in Counselling, she volunteers at a local primary school Parent Support Group to serve the school community.
When working with clients, Pei Tze prioritises being empathic, holding space for difficult feelings and collaborating with clients to achieve therapeutic goals. Pei Tze also believes strongly in strength-based approaches by building clients’ resilience, helping them identify their strengths and reframing their mindsets to overcome the challenges they are facing.
Born in Malaysia and performing daily commutes to study in Singapore since primary school, Pei Tze is familiar with the hassles of daily life and has since found meaningful ways to pass her travelling time. She is fluent in both English and Chinese. Being a mother to 3 active children, she loves cooking for her family and enjoys exploring and cycling at park connectors.
